"SmartFold" compact mini USB reader, perfectly suitable for a wide range of application areas for government, enterprise and home use, while fitting in your pocket. This is a CAC-approved reader. For CAC use, you will need to purchase CAC Software.
Comes in standard USB (A), USB microB, and USB C, which works with MacBook, phones and tablets with (reversible) Type C USB ports. Note that this reader is not currently compatible with iOS (iPhone/iPad) for CAC/PIV use.
The "SmartFold" SCR3500 mini USB reader is a fully ISO7816 compliant CAC/PIV approved contact smart card reader suitable for a wide range of application areas for government, enterprise and home use. Due to its small design, this ID1 reader is ideal to be bundled with smart cards and software to support large scale project roll outs.
Typical applications areas of this reader are in the field of electronic ID cards, social security cards, secure network log-on, e-Banking and online shopping, loyalty and e-Coupon cards as well as for online gaming activities. Due to its compact design the SCR3500 is ideally suited as a mobile reader device which easily fits into the pocket of the user, or can be attached to a key ring.
This is a CAC-approved reader, however it is not compatible with iOS (iPhone/iPad) for CAC/PIV use.
